
For two consecutive years now, UPRIIS has bagged the Integrated Irrigation Systems Office (IISO) of the Year Award in the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Annual Search for Outstanding Performers during the celebration of its founding anniversary on the 22nd of June.
The NIA Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (NIA-PRAISE) CY 2020 Committee hailed UPRIIS not only as IISO of the year but as recipient of four other distinct awards: 1) UPRIIS Division I as IISO-Division Office of the Year for CY 2020, 2) UPRIIS Administrative and Finance (AdFin) Division Manager Milca B. Cayanga as Field Office-Based Best Division Manager on Support Function for CY 2020, who had also received the Best Employee award in CY 2018, 3) UPRIIS Division II Operations and Maintenance Chief, Engr. Marvin C. Bustamante as Field Office-Based Best Employee on Core Function for CY 2020, and 4) UPRIIS Division I AdFin Chief Jennifer Esguerra as Field Office-Based Best Employee on Support Function for CY 2020.
Further, Mr. UPRIIS bet, Engr. Christian Gyver B. Red for Mr. and Ms. NiA Virtual Pageant was also awarded as Most Liked/Most Popular Mr. NIA candidate, and landed as Mr. NIA 2nd Runner Up.It may also be noted that the NIA Public Affairs and Information Staff during its National Review and Planning Workshop in February 2021 has recognized UPRIIS Public Relations Officer (PRO) as the Outstanding PRO of the Year for CY 2020.
NIA UPRIIS has performed a remarkable undertaking in CY 2020 amidst the surge of Covid-19 pandemic, remaining resilient in addressing both global and social challenges, and upholding NIA 58th Anniversary theme, "NIA: A Catalyst for Progress with 58 Years of Efficient, Resilient and Sustainable Irrigation Development."
Led by its supportive and pro-active Department Manager, Engr. Rosalinda B. Bote, the UPRIIS Division Managers from Head and Field Offices joined the virtual program of NIA Central Office, which awarded the NIA PRAISE Awardees on June 22, 2021 via its Official Facebook Page Livestreaming.
Engr. Bote felt grateful in the outstanding performance of UPRIIS Managers in their respective field, including the dedicqtion at work of Section Chiefs, Unit Heads and all office staff and field personnel. "These are all our exerted efforts and everyone was appreciated. Congratulations po sa ating lahat," she remarked.
"We are very proud to be part of UPRIIS," she exclaimed.."To God be the Glory! All the hardworks were paid off. Despite of this very hard time, we were able to cope up with our targets and commitments," she concluded.
